Here are some photos from M&M’s Rock in Castle Rock State Park, where I climbed with Vinita on a fine December day.
The view from the Saratoga Gap Trail in Castle Rock State Park, CA, in search of a climbing area dubbed M&M's.
Beta: M&M's is directly to the LEFT of this signpost that says "Saratoga Gap Tr.", ~1.3 miles north of Goat Rock on the Saratoga Gap Trail.
More beta: After you make the left at the signmost, descend a 3rd class path at the end of this trail. Some bushwacking required.
Vinita prepares to belay me on Mr. Peanut, a 5.9 sport lead that can be toproped. She was also rather good at evading the camera all day! :)
