There were moving trucks to take our bikes from downtown Portland to the University of Washington the day before the ride. People were transported in a tour bus.

Here's Mike with his Trek (foreground), and Kevin's bike (background) sans seat and pedals (which illicted many comments from observant people that day!)

We had a taxi company come drive us from Redmond to the University of Washington on the day of the ride. The taxi company ended up bringing a whole BUS!

Kevin and Mike on the bus. As you can imagine, there was plenty of room for the three of us AND our bikes! :)

[Day 1, Mile 0, 5:36am] Canny at the start in touring guise with a rear rack, all set to go.

[Day 1, Mile 1.4, 6:04am] Heading over a bridge in downtown Seattle, in which a lane was closed off for us cyclists.
