Archives below include all 2001 MGOC newsletters (The Octagon)
in AT&T-invented DjVu format, which is like PDF format except that 1) the
file sizes are much smaller and 2) the software to create DjVu files
is free, unlike Adobe Acrobat ($200). You will likely have
to download the plugin
for your browser, however, to read the files. The plugin
is just over 700kb and should take approximately 5 minutes over a modem.
It only needs to be downloaded and installed once. Unfortunately, it works with Windows only (no Mac/UNIX).
Newsletters from March-May 2002 are in PDF format instead of DjVu. Some
are also in HTML format. For newsletters
after May 2002, see the official
mgoc.org site.
I resigned as Editor in November 2002 to focus on other things. I enjoyed
being your editor for the last 4 years!
