In the BMW waiting area in their tent at Monster Park, they had an LED display playing “The Hire” (their series of Indie movies) with a BMW “propeller” that were the speakers mounted above and a non-functional iDrive armrest. |
I was eager to try out the Z4, the successor to my former Z3. Unfortunately, the Z4′s styling still has not grown on me and I greatly prefer the Z3′s. |

The interior — while intended by BMW to be sleek and avante garde — looked pretty ho-hum and less classic than my Z3′s interior. And then there was an automatic transmission… for shame… |
Afterwards, I had a chance to test-drive the new 325i, but predictably, a sedan (even with sunroof) did not quite do it for me… |
Ultimately I was all very happy to return to my ’91 Alfa Romeo Spider, which despite having styling dating back to the 1968 Duetto, looks much better than the Z4, yes? You decide! |
