Ice Skating at Sheldon Lake
A friend of mine, Jonathan, had mentioned that he had found “a form of cross training which brutalizes the body even more than running—ice skating!” This intrigued me enough that I picked up a slightly used pair of Bauer Air 30 ice skates—courtesy of Craigslist—and went over to City Park and Sheldon Lake in Fort Collins, which has a free, outdoor rink.
Good thing I went when I did. Since the weather has been so sunny and warm during the last half of February, the rink closed only days after I went.
Here is a photo. It was fun. And now that I have skates, I will be ready for skate season come December and hopefully be able to go more than just one time, unlike this winter!
