Snorkeling at Two Step, Honaunau Bay, Hawaii

On our second day on the Big Island of Hawaii, Erin took Andrea and me snorkeling. We went to Two Step, which is 12 miles south of Kailua-Kona.

It was only my second time snorkeling, but fortunately, Erin is a diving expert and had fins and snorkeling masks for all of us. She also brought her GoPro Hero 9 to take all the photos on this page.

We were in the water for one hour and ten minutes, after which I think all of us were somewhat cold. But there were so many fish, plants, and coral in the clean, clear water that we didn’t want to get out!

I recorded the route we swam in the bay. But I’m skeptical that we swam merely 35 meters, as Strava says.

A big thanks go to Erin for this great mini-adventure and the pics.
